GENERAL QUESTIONS:

  1. Will EWC be inclusive of boys and adults as well?

    Yes. EWC's mission primarily focuses on girls, but we will not exclude any boys and adults who show extraordinary interest and talent.

  2. How old do I have to be to be part of EWC?

    Ages for those participating in summer program are 7-14. The age range for the Girls Club is 14-18.

  3. What is the total cost to become a member of EWC?

    A nominal cost of $10.00 to participate in the summer program for 4 weeks. All materials will be provided.

  4. Is there a limit to the number of classes or programs that I can participate in at EWC?

    You can attend all classes or programs as many times as you want whenever they are offered.

GIRLS CLUB:

  1. How old do I have to be to join?  

    Between the ages of 13 and 18.

  2. Who can join the club?

    We encourage everyone to apply. We have a screening process to determine each club member's eligibility. Parent permission is required to apply.

  3. If you are in the Girl's Club are you automatically invited to Field Trips?

Yes, you will have 1st priority.

  1. What is the purpose of the club?

    Our goal is to create a positive learning environment where young people can explore science and technology through coding and software technology.

  2. What type of activities do club members participate in?

    Our club members participate in field trips, coding challenges and projects.

  3. Is there a cost to become a member?

    There is no cost to become a member of the Girls Club. The only requirements are the questionnaire, interview, and minimum age requirements.

  4. Do I need to provide additional materials to participate?

    No, all materials are provided.

  5. Is the club active year-round? 

    Yes.

SUMMER PROGRAM: 

  1. Who can join?

    Ages for those participating in summer program are 7-14.

  2. Is there a cost?

    A nominal cost of $10.00 to participate in the summer program for 4 weeks. All materials will be provided.

  3. What is the length of the program?

    The length of the summer program is 4 weekends. Each class is about 2 1/2 hours long.

  4. Do I need to provide any materials out of my own pocket?

    Bring your favorite pen!

  5. Is this program also offered remotely?

    Yes, the program can be accessed via internet/skype etc.

  6. Are summer program classes always the same?

    No, every class is unique, and we will change the curriculum as we progress.
